Originally built in 653 AD during the Tang Dynasty, the Pavilion of Prince Teng is one of the “Three Great Towers of Jiangnan,” celebrated for its beauty and its deep connection to Chinese literature.
It became truly famous thanks to poet Wang Bo’s masterpiece Preface to the Pavilion of Prince Teng, turning the structure into a cultural icon repeated throughout centuries of art, poetry and architecture.
